Born Liverpool 1951, Dave spent most of his young life in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool.  He began a career in public service in 1970, performing many different roles and having many different responsibilities, including: team management, training staff, investigatory enquiries and problem solving projects.

After 26 years (1995), Dave had to leave public service due to injury but absorbed himself in
subjects of academic interest at Open University, as can be seen by his qualifications above.  He also did other courses including decorative finish, upholstery, complimentary therapies,
photography, marquetry and veneering, exercise and nutrition with Liverpool Football Club,
woodworking, art, clock making and repairs, gardening, and stained glass.
During his academic pursuits he also became an Executive Committee Member of the Open
University Student Association for the North West of England. Dave also has a love of everything ‘heritage’ related.

Born Liverpool 1951, currently residing in Widnes.  Les retired from Public Service in 2011, having served the greater Merseyside community for over 40years.
With over 30years experience of managing people, over 25years experience in the field of training, training management, curriculum design, course design and evaluation and assessment, also experienced in problem solving and the research and development of key projects.
As a member of the National Trust and a lover of history and historic buildings, monuments and other heritage sites, he believes it would be a sad day if such historic places are allowed to fade out of existence, which is why he has become part of the North West Heritage Skills Academy.

NEIL WORTHINGTON

Born, raised and currently living in St. Helens.  Neil has successfully headed an assessment unit within a Merseyside County public service organisation as well as involvement in other more challenging roles. Over twenty years’ experience of managing people and is a current and experienced assessor within this field.
Having been a skilled engineer, he has seen this role more frequently replaced by robotic
machinery.  He has served the public of Merseyside for over twenty five years.  A keen supporter of diversity issues, a lover of historical buildings and their history, he believes passionately in the maintaining and restoration of these buildings which explains why he has joined the North West Heritage Skills Academy.
