Lime Plastering Course 1

Course Overview

A one day introductory course on the basic principles and properties of lime plaster and its application to solid backgrounds. The course will include some basic theory, demonstrations and a hands-on practical session.

• An overview of the preparation and mixing of lime plasters
• The selection of the appropriate tools for plastering
• The preparation of the wall prior to plastering
• Plastering practice
• Finishing the plaster final coat

Who is the Course For?

This particular course is suitable for anyone interested in the basics of lime plastering and who has little or no previous experience of using lime plasters. It provides a good basis for Lime Plastering 2 which looks at the application to timber lath walls and ceilings.
