Course Overview

This course provides a systematic inspection and recording procedure for timber framed buildings. Through concise recording and surveying the most appropriate repair methods can be adopted.

Learning Objectives


• Measuring and recording the structural timbers
• Producing working drawings of the structure
• Recording the extent of defects within the structure
• Specifying a conservation based approach to remedial measures.

This particular course is suitable for anyone interested in the surveying and recording historic buildings such as professionals involved in conservation.
